Haarlemmermeer Arts Centre gathers various existing cultural buildings, such as the De Meerse theatre, the art center Pier K and a public library under one roof. The resulting internal streets and patios connect the various cultural activities with one another. The all-sided building can be accessed through its glass facades and entrances from all sides. The square can be used for outdoor cultural activities and has been seamlessly integrated into the existing rectangular urban grid, making the centre a natural part of daily life in Hoofddorp.
